AsCountry Legal Manager , the incumbent will directly report to CountryManager - Regional Legal Counsel (Asia) and cover the following mainduties and responsibilities:

- Leads the implementation of applicable Legal & Compliance policies, directives and instructions within the Country
- Ensures personnel training on compliance and contractual matters including all trainings rolled out by the group
- Supports Local Division Managers in the implementation of Group’spolicies and provides advice and guidance on all contractual mattersarising from sales and projects
- Communicates with external and internal legal networks on legal and compliance matters
- Assists where required, in investigations of non-compliant cases in domestic inquiries for such cases
- Optimizes the costs of external legal costs by handling all legaladvice/opinions needed by the businesses and negotiating externallawyers’ fees in cases where outsourcing is needed
Initiates actions for arbitration and litigation where necessary and provides documentation and witnesses.
- Where applicable, strategies with external lawyers on the approach to win a claim
- Participates as a director in company secretarial matters incgovernance issues, signing board documentation, company structure andcompliance
- Meets with customers, where required on legal matters
